Pfizer's Clinical Research Unit is a three-story, 62,500-SF facility which includes offices, laboratories, in-patient facilities, clinical space, and support facilities. Pfizer hired EEI to provide comprehensive commissioning services, which also meet USGBC requirements for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEEDŽ) certification Silver level. The scope of the services provided on this project include design review; commissioning scheduling; and the development of commissioning plan, functional performance tests, final commissioning report, and a LEED Recommissioning Management Manual.

The systems covered by EEI's commissioning program include air systems, central plant systems, plumbing, electrical including: emergency power - generators, ATS switches, UPS for computer rooms, lighting controls, nurse call, clocks, call for aid and public address, and fire and life safety systems.
