ST. ELIZABETH REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER Lincoln, Nebraska
St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center completed a major expansion of their facility in the spring of 2004. The addition is a new 6-level bed tower, with substantial renovations to many first floor diagnostic and test areas. The addition is also supported by a major central plant expansion, including chillers, emergency power and expanded medical air and medical vacuum systems.
EEI provided engineered systems peer review and M/E/P master planning for the integration and upgrade of existing systems. Our work was done in conjunction with the hospital engineering department, partnering together to identify and quantify immediate needs, as well as five-year and longer-term requirements.
In addition to these services, EEI provided commissioning services. These services included 'as-built' one-line diagrams of the existing equipment, written functional test procedures, online functional testing, reporting the results to the construction team for resolution and recommending possible solutions. Commissioning test results were also used to further develop the long-term approach to systems development.
