The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) – Colorado Chapter held their monthly luncheon at the Denver Athletic Club in December. EEI was pleased to present at the event, which was a round table luncheon focused on Owner’s Reps and how A/E/C professionals can earn their business.
EEI’s presentation on “Being Your Project’s Superhero” struck a chord for Owners and Owner’s Reps alike, as many buildings in the Denver area and other municipalities in the U.S. are now having to adhere to benchmarking ordinances that require their facilities to assess and understand their current energy performance. Often, Owner’s Reps can improve their relationships with Owners by improving their facility’s maintenance expenditures. Did you know that EEI has used many ENERGY STAR scores of buildings as a baseline to improve the facility’s performance through Retro-Commissioning? This often results in saving tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars per year in energy expenditures. We are proud to be a partner with ENERGY STAR and to have the ability to draw on past experiences to provide such a valuable resource to facilities throughout the nation.
The sold-out SMPS luncheon had representatives from NV5, CAA and ICON Venue Groups, CenterPoint, Wember Inc., Dunakilly, JLL, and Project One. These representatives gave valuable insight into local and national procurement procedures and how long-term partnerships can be forged with successful A/E/C firms.
EEI looks forward to attending more Owner’s Reps events in the future, and a special thank you goes out to The Unfound Door photography company for providing this post’s featured image of EEI-Colorado’s Branch Manager, Jarrell Wenger.
