LEED® Project
The new Denver Justice Center represents a complete overhaul of Denver’s existing criminal justice facilities. Included in the justice center complex is a new courthouse, detention center, post office, and covered parking garage. The post office/parking garage facility was awarded LEED Silver certification status in April 2008; in July 2011 the courthouse was awarded LEED Gold certification and the detention center was awarded LEED Silver certification.
EEI was hired as the Commissioning Authority and to provide commissioning services on the following systems:
- Heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
- Domestic hot water heating systems
- Building automation control system
- Lighting controls
- Backup and emergency power systems
- Measurement and verification
