This $14.6-million project consists of a 33,623-SF build-out of the shelled 4th and 4M (interstitial) floors within the laboratory. These floors include Level 2 and Level 3 Bio-Safety Laboratories and laboratory support offices.
EEI was hired as the Commissioning Authority.
The major systems commissioned (as well as all related sub-components) on this project include:
- Fire protection/life safety (including the smoke management system)
- Mechanical systems (including air handling units, domestic water heating systems, biological safety cabinets, fume hoods, and all air/water systems)
- Electrical systems (including lighting controls, electrical power monitoring and control systems)
- Building Automation System
