EEI provides commissioning and retro-commissioning, as well as study, design and investigative engineering services to primary, secondary, college and unversity clients across the United States.
EEI has commissioned or retro-commissioned more than 190 university/college facilities and more than 120 kindergarten through 12th grade (K-12) schools nationwide.
EEI provided LEED® commissioning services for the first U.S. K-12 schools to obtain LEED-Platinum and LEED-Gold certification. The first LEED-Platinum school was Sidwell Friends Middle School in Washington, DC, and the first LEED-Gold school was Third Creek Elementary School in Iredell County, North Carolina. The Sidwell Friends Middle School was also the first LEED-certified project in the District of Columbia.
