Central Los Angeles High School #9 is the showpiece high school for the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). The artistic focus for the school is on music, dance, performing arts and visual arts. The campus is situated on 10 acres and is comprised of 7 buildings, including a 950-seat performing arts theater, parking garage/gymnasium, library, cafeteria, and classroom buildings totaling 238,000 SF.

EEI was hired as the Commissioning Authority for the project.

EEI commissioned the following:

• Electrical systems
• Emergency power systems
• Lighting control systems for the building and theater
• Fire alarm systems
• Fire protection sprinkler systems
