LEED^® Project

This new Visual and Performing Arts Center at De Anza College features a 400-seat theater, art museum, adaptable classroom space and an outdoor smart classroom.

In keeping with the district’s commitment to the environment, the building was designed and built to attain LEED certification.  EEI was hired during the design stage to review the design, monitor construction and start-up, and to perform a functional test on the equipment once operational.

EEI was hired as the Commissioning Authority for this project and provided commissioning of the following systems:

• Heating hot water system
• Chilled water system
• Air handling units
• Exhaust fan system
• Domestic hot water system
• Lighting control system
• Variable air volume boxes
• Building automation system
• Emergency power system
