This facility houses the UCLA Department of Computer Science and was designed to provide a collaborative environment to foster scientific discoveries; support the development of new technologies, inventions and educational programs; and create new commercial opportunities for high-growth industries dependent on computational research.

This building is designed to achieve LEED Gold or Platinum certification.

Commissioned systems include air handling units, chilled water system with main three-way valve, exhaust systems, ventilation and air distribution system, steam heat exchangers and condensate pumps, heat hot water system, package air conditioning units, duct heating coils, unitary heating and cooling systems including fan coil units, laboratory ventilation systems, chilled beams, constant and variable volume terminal units, building automation and temperature control systems, air and hydronic distribution system, domestic hot water system, and lighting control system.
