Washington State University recently constructed the most technologically advanced wine research and education center in the world. This teaching, research, and extension facility is working to transform the Washington wine industry with cutting-edge science. The building is 40,000 SF, with an open atrium with a wine library and two stories of laboratory spaces, teaching spaces, and various wine-making specific spaces housed within.

This project was certified LEED NC.

Commissioned systems include variable volume AHUs, constant volume AHU, fan terminal units, variable volume supply terminal units with reheat, variable volume exhaust terminal units, building heating water system (including two boilers and two system pumps), building cooling water system (including chiller and two system pumps), exhaust fans, lab exhaust fans, split system units, fan coil units, lab hot water system (including heat exchanger and two system pumps), domestic water (including three heaters and a pump), lighting control system, and building automation system.
